Zhou Lianqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, Visits FZTBU for Investigation and Inspection and Condoles Teachers
On January 13th, 2021, Zhou Lianqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, visited FZTBU’s canteen, library, Qingyun IEC Center and other places to inspect and guide the prevention and control of the epidemic situation during the winter vacation and spring school opening. He expressed sympathy to our university’s discipline leaders and Party members of teachers with difficulties. Zheng Kaijin—second-level inspector of the General Office of the Provincial Party Committee, Li Xun—deputy director of the Provincial Department of Education, followed Zhou. Chairman Zhao Jianxiong, Party Secretary Yu Xinran and President Zhao Jie of FZTBU accompanied the investigators.

Zhou Lianqing stressed that we should thoroughly study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and instructions, implement the joint-defense and joint-control mechanism of the State Council, carry out Ministry of Education’s spirit of notification and the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee, and do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic situation in universities in accordance with the law scientifically and accurately, and firmly defend the epidemic prevention and control on campus.
Investigation, guidance and condolence
Zhou Lianqing pointed out that the current situation of the epidemic prevention and control was complex and severe. Universities should always tighten the string of the epidemic prevention and control, compact the responsibilities of all parties, implement prevention and control measures, make plans ahead of time, scientifically formulate work plans for holidays and next spring, reasonably arrange holidays and avoid peaks in opening school, and master the travel track and health status of teachers and students in winter vacation, and do a good job of returning to China and to campus according to laws and regulations; that the epidemic prevention and control work should be standardized, we must continue to keep the university gates closed, and all irrelevant personnel are not allowed to enter campus; that teachers, students and staff are treated equally, and when entering the university gates, they would be measured for their temperatures and checked for their codes without relaxation or omission; that we should pay close attention to the internal management of the campus, strengthen the management of the canteen and other logistics service personnel, and properly arrange the study life of the teachers and students who stay on campus; and that it was necessary to strengthen the university-local joint prevention and control, further refine the work plan, improve the emergency plan, carry out emergency drills, form a “network” of joint prevention and control, and ensure the health and safety of teachers and students.
Zhou Lianqing, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Government, also paid a visit to Professor Zhou Zhongmei—leader of our university’s discipline, and Zhu Shuhuang—a Party member in difficulties.
