First in Fujian Province| Students of FZTBU Make Great Achievements in the 7th Cross-strait Vocational Skills Competition
Recently, Fujian provincial Department of Education, Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and Management Committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone jointly announced the list of winners of the 7th Cross-strait College Students’ Vocational Skills Competition. Our university’s teams and individuals won 8 first, 12 second, and 8 third prizes. The number of awards and first prizes ranked first among all the undergraduate universities in Fujian Province. At the same time, this number refreshed the record that FZTBU had made great achievements in its history.
Our university always adheres to the principle of “promoting teaching by competition, promoting learning by competition, and focusing on learning for practical use", which is committed to cultivating talents needed by the society. All its departments and schools work together to cultivate talents and make joint efforts. Teachers and students actively prepare for the competition, which has laid a solid foundation for the success of the competition.
It is reported that the competition has attracted 472 colleges and universities from both banks of the Taiwan Strait to participate, including a total of 1,070 teams, 3,898 students and 1,107 instructors from 251 undergraduate colleges and 221 higher vocational ones, whose scale is the largest in history. For the teachers and students on both banks of the Strait, this competition constructs a friendship bridge for collaborative innovation between them; actively explores a new way for the integrated development of industry-education; promotes mutual benefits and win-win situation; and pushes the political, economic, social, cultural and peaceful development to a higher level.
