Professor Yang Zhengtai and His Party from Fudan University Come to FZTBU for Exchange and Guidance
On the afternoon of May 17th, Professor Yang Zhengtai of Fudan University—former director of Asia Pacific Economic Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Social Sciences, Researcher Ma Yuanzhu—doctoral supervisor, and Peng Junfang of Fujian Normal University, etc., visited our university for guidance and exchange and held a professional construction guidance forum. Vice Presidents Lin Liqun and Wang Zongchi, Assistant President Wang Rongguo, Professor Xin Lin—Dean of School of Business, Distinguished Professor Yuan Shuqi, heads of relevant departments, and teacher representatives of tourism management professional group attended the forum, which was presided over by President Xin Lin.

At the forum, Assistant President Wang Rongguo introduced FZTBU’s development process, school-running orientation, specialty construction, discipline layout and teaching staff. President Xin Lin of School of Business explained the construction and development direction of the program Tourism Management.
After listening to the introduction, Professor Yang Zhengtai spoke highly of FZTBU’s clear school-running concept and direction, and put forward guiding opinions and suggestions on how to combine the program Tourism Management with its own advantages, integrate resources according to the local conditions, and highlight professional characteristics. Professor Yang pointed out that the tourism industry in Fuzhou City and Yongtai County was constantly upgrading, and the university-enterprise cooperation should be “from less to more, and from point to surface”, so as to strengthen the close ties between the university, enterprises and local areas.
The site of the forum
The visiting experts said that FZTBU had unique advantages and broad development space in tourism management. They hoped that the university could grasp the geographical advantages, actively carry out exchanges and cooperation with the local government, promote the development of the local tourism industry, improve economic efficiency, feedback teaching and talent training quality, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
After the forum, Professor Yang Zhengtai and his party also visited the campus and inspected the practice base—Vastroam Hotel.
