From June 26th to 27th, the resumed and final of the 12th “SFLEP Cup” National Foreign Language Teaching Contest (English Major Group) in Fujian were held in Fujian Jiangxia University. The contest was divided into English Professional Group and Business English Group, and more than 20 universities such as Xiamen University, Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University and Jimei University participated in it.

After a fierce competition, the two teachers Jiang Weijin and Ye Weiping from School of Humanities and Law, FZTBU, got the affirmation and praise of the expert judges by virtue of their solid comprehensive teaching ability, keen thinking ability, good professionalism and teaching style, and won the second prizes of English Major Group and Business English Group respectively.

It is reported that the “SFLEP Cup” NFLTC is jointly held by College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee and College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee under Ministry of Education, and Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. The contest is the largest and most extensive college English teaching competition held in China. It is known as the first line of college English teaching, especially the important contest of young teachers’ teaching skills. Our university will take this contest as an opportunity to promote the building of “Golden Class”, promote learning and teaching by contest, and further improve the quality of English teaching.
