On the afternoon of September 10th, FZTBU held a grand celebration of the 37th Teachers’ Day and Commendation Meeting in the auditorium of Comprehensive Building to commend the advanced collectives and individuals emerging on all fronts of our university. President Jing Lin, Party Secretary Yu Xinran, Vice Presidents Lin Liqun, Huang Bin and Wang Zongchi, together with all teaching staff and student representatives, gathered to witness the glorious moment of FZTBU’s teachers. At the meeting, 30 winners of the 2020-2021 university’s excellent teachers, educators, scientific researchers, publicity advanced individuals, logistics workers, and Young Teachers’ Lecture Competition were commended. Vice President Lin Liqun read out the commendation decision. The leaders of our university issued certificates to the award-winning faculty one by one and shook hands with them to congratulate them. As the representative of the award-winning teachers, Mrs. Hu Mingzhu of School of Humanities and Law spoke and shared with all present her hard work and harvest on the three-foot platform.

Yu Xinran made a speech, wishing all teachers a happy holiday, extending warm congratulations to the commended teachers and a sincere welcome to the teachers who have newly joined the FZTBU family. He said that in the whole university we should thoroughly carry out the education of the Party history and study, and publicize the spirit of speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 100th Anniversary Celebration Conference of the Founding of the Communist Party of China, and strive to promote the qualified assessment of undergraduate teaching work. The teachers of the whole university should seriously study the spirit of the letter written by Xi Jinping on September 8th to the representative of the National University Huang-Danian-typed teacher team, strive to be a “Four Haves” good teacher with ideals and beliefs, moral sentiment, solid knowledge and benevolence, unify learning, doing things and being a person, and be a good guide for students’ growth. He demanded that we should thoroughly study Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics, especially his important exposition on education; that we should follow our minds at the beginning of the century, undertake the responsibility of educating people, and firmly lay the fundamental task of moral values establishment and people cultivation on our shoulders; that we must cultivate our country's feelings and strengthen the building of teachers’ ethics and morals; and that we should adhere to student-oriented, always care for students, and draw a concentric circle of teaching, education, management, education, service, education and love. He stressed that the teaching Party branch should become the most intimate and trusted organization for teachers and students, and strive to become a strong battle fortress for teaching and educating people in the university’s full sprint for the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching next year; that all Party members and teachers should actively participate in the study and education of the Party history, learning history to be reasonable, to increase trust, to respect morality, and to practice, give full play to the role of vanguard and model, find the starting point of serving our university, take the initiative, strive to break up, write their own progress, and welcome the convening of the First Party Congress of FZTBU.

At the meeting, 33 new young teachers clenched their right fists, solemnly vowed, and clanked their vows through the venue. The students’ song Listen to Me Thank You and the teacher-student chorus Sing a Folk Song to the Party run through the commendation meeting. The melodious music, affectionate songs and dances showed a strong friendship between teachers and students and jointly expressed their deep love for the Party and the motherland. Applause and smiling faces became a beautiful movement of FZTBU, promoting the teachers’ ethics, building their soul, and adhering to the original heart and continuing brilliance.
