“FLTRP•ETIC Cup” National English Public Speaking, Reading and Writing Contests 2020 (Fujian District Finals) End Successfully
From November 7th to 8th, “FLTRP•ETIC Cup” National English Public Speaking, Reading and Writing Contests 2020 (Fujian District Finals) were held in Fuzhou Technology and Business University. More than 300 contestants from 43 colleges and universities across the province, including Xiamen University and Fuzhou University, gathered here to compete fiercely. Wu Songjiang, executive director of China University Foreign Language Teaching Research Association and president of Fujian University Foreign Language Teaching Research Association, and Huang Xiaoling, director of Fujian Information Center of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press attended the competition. Vice Presidents Huang Bin and Lin Liqun of FTBU as an organizer went to the scene to organize and coordinate the work of the contests.

It is reported that “FLTRP•ETIC Cup” National English Public Speaking, Reading and Writing Contests are authoritative and professional high-level events sponsored by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, Beijing Foreign Language Research Online Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and China Foreign Language Assessment Center, and jointly sponsored by College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, College English Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, and China Foreign Language and Education Research Center of Ministry of Education. With their growing social impact, they are highly recognized by all colleges and universities, which have developed into “U-challenge National College Students’ English Challenge” brand contests, and the only English contests included in the “Innovative Talents Training and Subject Competition Evaluation Project of Chinese Universities”. These three contests have become platforms for contemporary college students to show their foreign language, critical thinking, communicative and innovation abilities.

For the beautiful campus environment, advanced facilities, standard and smooth competition organization, and efficient and accurate service quality of Fuzhou Technology and Business University, the organizers and the representatives of teachers and students of participating colleges and universities gave a unanimous praise.
After a layer-upon-layer selection, 9 contestants from FTBU entered the Fujian Finals, and all of them won various awards, and FTBU won the only “Excellent Organization Award” of Fujian Province.
