Happy New Year!

 

Looking back on 2020, all the people of Fuzhou Technology and Business University feel honored and moved. Under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, with the care and help of the higher authorities, the strong support of the Board of Directors of FTBU and the joint efforts of all our teachers and students, our university adheres to the Party’s overall leadership over its education, betters its Party’s construction, improves its ideological and political work system, coordinates its epidemic prevention and control, and arranges the resumption of work and study, so that all its teachers and students are safe and sound. Our university has successfully completed the work of removing its departments and establishing its schools, standardized and strengthened its grass-roots teaching organizations, welcomed the full start of its undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation, made all the requirements of its education and teaching more in line with the provisions of the education administrative department, and comprehensively improved the level of the construction of its disciplines and programs. Of the provincial private colleges and universities managed by the Provincial Department of Education, FTBU is an outstanding one, the number of whose newly approved provincial first-class undergraduate courses is three times higher than that of last year; the quality of its personnel training has been continuously improved; our “Qingyun Innovation, Entrepreneur and Creation Center” has been built, covering an area of 4,300 square meters, having been approved as a demonstration base for business incubation in Fuzhou; our students have won nearly 100 awards in the national- and provincial-level discipline professional competitions, and the employment rate of our graduates in 2020 is more than 95%; the ability of our scientific research and innovation has improved significantly, and 46 scientific research projects have been approved at the ministerial and provincial level; our foreign cooperation and exchanges have been further expanded; a cross-strait high-end forum on “Industry-University Integration in Health-Tourism Education” has been successfully held, in which our FTBU has established School of Health-Tourism Industry jointly with a central enterprise; a number of national or provincial discipline competitions or conferences have been held on campus; FTBU’s school-running conditions and environment continuously optimized, a comprehensive gymnasium built and put into use, and an indoor swimming pool with standard swimming lanes basically completed; our campus has been landscaped; the construction of our campus culture has achieved gratifying results; our university has condensed its own motto, anthem, spirit, school-running philosophy and school-running objectives; it has made great progress in its alumni friendship. Here, on behalf of FTBU, we would like to extend our holiday greetings and sincere thanks to all teachers, students, staff, alumna and friends from all walks of life who care about and support the development of our university!

 

2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. It is the first year to implement the “14th Five-year Plan” and start a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way. It is also the key year for our university to promote its connotative development. In this new century of intercourse and layout, FTBU’s people have a blueprint and a full of ambition. They will stand at a new historical starting point with a new attitude, thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era, implement the important educational exposition of General Secretary Xi Jinping, bear in mind their mission of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for China, fully implement the basic task of their moral education, push forward the reform of education evaluation to be arranged by Ministry of Education, constantly improve the level of applied talents training, work together to enter the spring of 2021 and the year of the Ox in the lunar calendar, and work together to “lead the ox to plough the land” to make our university more beautiful!
