FZTBU Wins Good Results in the 3rd Fujian University “Knowledge Cup” Film Review Competition
Recently, the winners of the 3rd Fujian University “Knowledge Cup” Film Review Competition hosted by the Fujian University Library and Information Work Committee and FULink and undertaken by the member libraries were announced. After fierce competition, our university student Lin Weikang’s works “Dispelling the Fog and Overlooking the Lights of Thousands of Homes—a Brief Talk on the Film Changjin Lake”, Li Enron’s works “Chinese Doctor: Wind and Rain Fill the Boat, Looking Up to Hope” and Lin Yuanmei’s works “Endless Life” stood out, and won the second prize and third prize of the undergraduate group respectively. The other four finalists won the excellent award, ranking first among similar colleges and universities in the province.
It is reported that “Knowledge Cup” Film Review Competition lasted for more than 4 months, attracting 37 undergraduate colleges and 31 higher vocational colleges in the province, including Xiamen University, Fuzhou University, Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University, and Overseas Chinese University, and 5,835 valid entries were collected. The competition closely combined film appreciation with the cultivation of college students’ cultural literacy, aiming to improve their film appreciation level and writing ability by appreciating and commenting on excellent films, educated and guided them to establish the lofty ideal of communism, and let the spirit of patriotism firmly take root in their hearts. In recent years, the library of our university has been committed to improving students’ aesthetic ability and humanistic quality. By holding various types of competitions, it has broadened students’ horizons, enhanced their cultural self-confidence and patriotic enthusiasm, and strengthened their patriotic belief of building great virtue, setting great aspirations, keeping pace with the society and walking with the times.
