FZTBU’s Students Win Special Prize of the National College Students’ Comprehensive Business Ability Finals
Recently, the national finals of National College Students’ Comprehensive Business Ability Competition 2022 came to a successful conclusion. Our students Xie Yongqi, Lin Hongwei and Yang Jingjing (Instructor: Wang Ting) performed well, entered the national finals with the excellent results of the top 10 in the country, and bravely reached the peak in the finals with so many masters, winning the special prize of the national finals in one fell swoop! There are many key universities such as 985 and 211 in the national finals, and our university is the only private undergraduate university that has won the special prize. Our team composed of Li Qingyu, Huang Hongqiang, and Lin Junhao (Instructor: Huang Lingjun); our team composed of Lin Zhixing, Zhuang Yanni, and Wang Feifei (Instructor: ye Qiaoyan); and our team composed of Wang Yao, Zhu Peipeipei, and Zhang Xinyi (Instructor: Lin Wanqiong) have won the third prize. Their results fully demonstrated the solid professional skills and good comprehensive quality of our students, and were the presentation of the effectiveness of the training of applied talents in our university.

The competition attracted 998 teams from 145 colleges and universities across the country, including Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Wuhan University and University of Science and Technology of China, etc. to enter. Through the selection of campus competitions, regional competitions and national semi-finals, it took 8 months, and finally 100 teams were promoted to the national finals. The competition required the participating students to form a team of three to simulate the operation of enterprises, and score and display the ranking according to the final seven indicators of each enterprise’s sales revenue, net profit, earnings per share, bond rating, current ratio, returning on net assets and growth potential. It comprehensively examined the students’ understanding of financing, investment and operation, and reflected their management and decision-making ability.
For a long time, our university has cultivated a batch of business talents with international vision with the school running concept of “solid foundation, innovation, green, and diversity”. In the future, it will continue to adhere to the spirit of our university motto of “Morality, Truth, Accumulation and Innovation”, give full play to its original advantages and characteristics, further optimize the structural layout of its disciplines and majors, promote the reform of its talent training mode, promote its learning, teaching, and innovation through competition, and promote the training quality of its applied talents to a new level.
